MDF: how to make use of its versatility

The well-known MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is an option widely used for manufacturing custom furniture. Resistant and easy to use, as well as good value for money, are some of the characteristics that make it well accepted by many.

But in addition, the material is also an alternative to decorate environments. The versatility of MDF guarantees an excellent finish to decorative pieces and elements. What's more: the material is environmentally friendly, as it is made of wood from reforested areas.

Coating

MDF can cover the walls and ceiling of countless environments, from large ones, such as bedrooms and living rooms, to smaller ones, such as hallways. The covering, when made in wood tones, brings a more rustic air to the room. Prints and solid colors are other alternatives.

Dividers

Many houses and apartments have integrated environments, which helps to keep the space wider. For those who prefer to divide spaces, without the need to build a wall, MDF dividers are a great option, as they can match countless decor styles. When made in environments such as the living room, the divider can still be functional, following the hollow bookcase style.

Frames and panels

When used in the frame and panel model, MDF gains new features. In addition to the relief texture on the walls, the material also has advantages when used on the ceiling, contributing to the design and finish of the environment. MDF can also create lighting effects, due to its ease of handling.

Niches

Niches are great allies for organization and decoration. Made from MDF, they can replace compact shelves with hollow elements, making better use of available wall space. They can also be used as shelves, exploring different formats.
