The best Christmas decoration: yours

There are people who, although they enjoy Christmas traditions, may feel a certain strangeness with the theme of the typical decoration of the season. Originally from European settings, its main elements refer to the cold climate.

Pine trees covered in snow, reindeer and a very dressed-up Santa Claus are just some of the items that seem out of context, since most Brazilians celebrate Christmas in the strong heat of the tropics.

In order not to fail to celebrate one of the most important religious dates, the way out of this dichotomy lies in creativity. Reframing the main elements of Christmas decoration can even be a reason to engage and bring family and friends together.

The most used colors can be maintained. The green of the pine tree goes into the table arrangements and garlands, made with native foliage. Garden grass makes a great base for outdoor celebrations. We have red in abundance. Countless species of flowers and fruits present beautiful variations of this tone and make all types of settings elegant, from the simplest to the most sophisticated.

Snow is something very far from here at this time, but its white color can be transferred to candles, candlesticks, garlands, lamps. Strings of small decorative lights are versatile and add a certain magic to environments. In fact, an element that does not depend on place or temperature, but that makes all the difference in any type of decoration, are the lights. The message they convey seems to be that an enlightened Christmas will help to close the year with energy and look to the next with hope and optimism.

The choice for a tropical, traditional or completely innovative Christmas is a personal one. The elements that need to be present when decorating your home are creativity and disposition. The golden touch is due to the spirit of fraternity, unity and strengthening of bonds, which are the real meaning of the date.
