How to be more productive when making a change

Moving house or office, or carrying out a major renovation of a space, can be quite difficult and stressful. But with some practices, it is possible to optimize and organize the change, making this process simpler.

Plan calmly

In general, changes do not occur overnight. Take advantage of the period before the move to plan it. Consider hiring companies to transport the furniture and disassemble/assemble the furniture. It is also worth hiring an architect or interior designer to help with the design of the new space. With professional help, the project comes out much faster and looks more beautiful and functional.

Measure the furniture

It is necessary to have the exact measurements of the furniture and appliances when choosing the new space, to ensure that everything will fit. Also measure the entrances to the room (and the elevator), to avoid any inconvenience when unloading the change. A good suggestion is to invest in custom-made furniture.

Pack the furniture

Start packing furniture and objects in advance. If the move is from an office, start with the items that are not in immediate use, as work will continue even with the move in progress. In this process, it is good to discard everything that will not be taken to the new space. It's time to detox.

Divide the tasks

Don't be solely responsible for the change or leave everything to the company you hired. Share the tasks and responsibilities of the process with the other residents of the house. This way, you can focus on fewer functions at the same time and reduce the risk of something not going as planned. If you need to, call your friends. At this time, all help is welcome. Delegate!

Keeping an eye on reforms

Check if the new property needs repairs or renovations. If yes, do it before moving. Painting, installing shelves and more extensive cleaning should also be done first. When moving offices, also pay attention to the electrical installations, internet network and whether there are enough sockets to continue your work routine.
